Trivia Welcome Event for Sem2 2020

09/09/2020

The ESPG ran a zoom trivia last week and it was lots of fun (don't be fooled by the smiling faces below, the competition was fierce!) The feedback was so good that the committee is thinking of running this event monthly so watch this space.

Which US state has the most volcanoes?

How was the moon formed?

Can you guess the film titles from the emojis a) b) c) (above)?

Which nations capitol city, in English, is an anagram of its former capitol city?

Could you answer these questions? Well then you would have done pretty well at the first Earth Science Lockdown Trivia!

The ESPG ran a zoom trivia last week and it was lots of fun (don't be fooled by the smiling faces below, the competition was fierce!) The feedback was so good that the committee is thinking of running this event monthly so watch this space.

There are also plans to have a 'careers in earth science' event in the week of the September 21st. Finding a job is never easy and there are many new challenges this year. We hope to put on a panel of professional scientists who will talk about their experience finding employment after their post/graduate education.

Don't forget to sign up to the ESPG for 2020-2021 - tell your colleagues! We hope you're all doing okay and looking forward to seeing you and trivia-ing with you again soon!
